According to Erik Telford, in an article headed “Corruption, rampant cronyism at University of Texas School of Law?” our politicians are running a two-speed entry system: their children and friends get preferential admissions.
I think the real problem is that lawyers have a stranglehold on politics. Making it illegal for lawyers to be elected to any office where they can craft, influence or implement laws would remedy the situation.
We would then have politicians trying to get their friends into mechanics school.
