Chicago is the center of Mexico’s American drug trade.
The law abiding can’t obtain arms for self defense, but the city is flooded with illegal guns, awash with drugs and run by gangs. But it takes the power of serious cartel influence peddling to turn Chicago – at the opposite end of the country from Mexico – into the epicenter of Mexico’s main export trade.
Chicago is, or course, a distribution center, and it has a long history of corruption and organized crime, all hand-in-glove with one party political rule.
