As Mark Steyn points out here (http://www.steynonline.com/6179/beyond-europe ) America thinks it is The Land of The Free, but it is The Land of The Deluded. Sadly.

My “100 facts on The Constitution”, which I had to learn to become an American, told me that America has a Free Market economy.

So how come Tesla cannot sell cars direct to the public?

Why can’t I pump my own gas in New Jersey?

Why are there so many taxes which distort trade?

How come government chooses winners and losers, spending billions of dollars of taxpayers’ money (which is then recycled back to party coffers)?

In a Free Market economy, this cannot happen.
