NATO is the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.

The treaty is a mutual defense treaty. It’s not like the Warsaw Pact, with every constituent military subservient to the whims and needs of the USSR.

When one NATO member is attacked, the other members are obliged to provide defense when so called upon by the attacked member.

Admittedly, NATO has been fighting a proxy war of aggression via Zelensky against Russia . And they’ve been fighting a bad war, with poor tactics and worse execution., chewing up Ukrainian conscripts and burning valuable munitions – both at an alarming rate.
