With one or two exceptions, the Donald Trump Administration is a robustly Democrat one, albeit from 1990, as opposed to the Marxist Deep Staters of the Obama-onwards Democratic Party. The Donald was a conservative, socially-liberal New York Dem until he came down that escalator in 2016.

Elon Musk. Tulsi Gabbard. Robert Kennedy Jr. Most of Trump’s cabinet would have been warmly welcomed into most “respectable” Boston Society salons as recently as 2023.

This is why the hard left hates them so viscerally. They abandoned the cult. Most of the nominally conservative Republican Party’s members of Congress (indeed, in State legislatures too) are also Democrats: they just could not get the gig in Blue states, so they pretend to be conservative whilst despising the rubes who vote for them.
