“Safety” is the ruse by which we are fenced in, kept on the plantation, controlled and monitored. The Covid-19 Wuhan event is an outstanding exemplar, but governments have been restricting freedoms under the guise of “safety” for many years. Gun ownership, crash helmets, seat belt laws, OSHA work safety, vaccinations, ID cards…

It’s always “for your safety and health” but Cui Bono?

Not just Elfin Safety, as it’s mockingly referred to in Blighty, but also cybersecurity. Security from real, fake, imaginary and amplified threats and risks. CISA is a prime example of state control disguised as “to keep all y’all safe”, ushered in with the RussiaGate scandal, topped up with some China dressing and a side of Nork.

CISA is sheltered under the Department of Homeland Security, the Bush/Cheney monster designed to destabilize America from within, just as the State Dept destabilizes the world without. Why would they want instability? An unstable world demands security. Police. Protection. Enforcement. Just as socialism succeeds by failure: the worse that socialism makes your life, the less independent it makes people, the more that the impoverished and fearful people will clamor for and cling to the threadbare blanket of state largess and “security”.

America’s self-proclaimed Cyber Defense Agency, CISA was supposedly needed (at its 2018 inception) to protect against “feriners” (RUSSIA! RUSSIA! RUSSIA!) interfering with the technological infrastructure of American life in general and elections in particular. But it was all a ruse.

Easterly is currently (Late Nov, Early Dec 2024) doing the rounds lining up her next gig, draped in the Stars and Stripes (last refuge of…). No doubt she will get safe harbor in some suitably liberal and connected “cyber” business, like (just an example) Crowdstrike. As was advocated long ago, she and her awful organization should have been deep sixed way back.

Easterly, CISA and the FBI have many fervent admirers on LinkedIn, especially in the cyber security space, and with the (taxpayers’) money and reflected glory to be had from buttering up these mighty organs of state, that is quite understandable. But misguided.

There may be a reckoning, as Kunstler hopes, but don’t hold your breath. CISA’s pivot to AI is all part and parcel of the Deep State plan to keep on running things, as Marc Andreesen revealed on Joe Rogan’s podcast. They are The Farmer in Watership Down, America is their farm and you are the crop being farmed.
