Just received a spam email from Tom Renz, a lawyer who attaches to anything “right” that gives him a chance to ask for money. He’s a lawyer, natch. Here’s his substack (mugs pay to comment).

Mitch McConnell has been an awful Senator and politician. His voters have been betrayed at every turn, he served his special interests with distinction and conserved nothing of value. Standard GOP. To call him and the GOP leaders and politicians RINOs is ludicrous.

These people are the heart and soul of the Republican Party. The majority of the people who vote for them are the RINOs: Republican registered voters are political Ronin, leaderless, masterless voters for a cause who vote R but get D and yet have no other clan leader to follow.

My main observation about recent McConnell is that he has seemed to be under duress. The freezes could well be senility but he gives the impression of baulking at the script. Something odd has been happening in his life. These photos of his bruises reminded me of Harry Reid:

Harry Reid was given a black eye after losing control of the Senate. Reid was also connected to the CCP, as is Mitch, as was Bernstein, and as is Biden and many others.

Is Congress a charade? Do our elected leaders get untrammeled power in elected office on condition that they obey orders and do as they are told, like Japanese Emperors locked in protocol, isolated from the people and powerless to resist the Shogunate and the Bakufu?

Dunno. But absolute power corrupts absolutely, and the corruption is evident in many different ways. One way is unusual and sudden death. Texas ranches are dangerous places if your ticket is punched. Antonin Scalia was offed near Big Bend, and a couple of weeks back Angela Chao, Mitch’s Sister in Law, was drowned in her Tesla in a pond on a ranch in Blanco County, Texas.

Blanco County’s capital is Johnson City, in the Texas Hill Country, eponymous seat of corrupt deep stater LBJ.

If Harry Reid’s trajectory is a guide, Mitch will be lucky to make it alive to November and there will be no long retirement.
