I had a guy working for me, 20 or so years ago. His wife was depressed, so the doc put her on SSRIs. The guy (super smart) decided to feel her pain and joined her on the pills.

He had been working with another team but did not fit in, so I took him under my wing. He was transformative. But I had to wean him (and his wife) off the happy pills. Get off too soon and you have a train wreck bloodbath horror movie. It took 6 months.
