Arrested Development

Yesterday, in Hampshire, Paul Weston, the chairman of a newish political party called Liberty GB and a candidate in next month’s European elections, was speaking on the steps of Winchester Guildhall and quoted [a ] Churchill passage. A half-dozen police officers arrested him and took him away in a police van.

That is Hampshire, England. A uniformed mob of police decided what a politician can say, and arrested him for breaking their rules.

When they come for you, who will protest?

The licencing of political parties is being imposed by the police, and it will be rubber stamped by a gutted Parliament.

The licencing of political speech and thought must surely then follow. This is outrageous.
